Version 2026-10
These terms apply to membership of the Africa PR Network, the year-round community of Africa PR Week. By paying for a membership you agree to them, to our code of conduct and to our privacy notice.
1. Who we are
The Africa PR Network is run by the Africa Global PR Week Secretariat in Nairobi, Kenya. Payments for membership are received by Glass House PR Limited. You can reach the membership team at network@africaprweek.com.
2. Joining
Membership is by application or invitation. Every application is reviewed, approval is not automatic, and we may decline an application that does not meet the current criteria or capacity. We do not always give reasons.
If you are approved we send you a personal whitelist code and a private payment link. Both are personal to you: they work only with the email address they were sent to and may not be passed to anyone else. You become a member when your payment is received.
3. Your membership
A membership runs for twelve months from the day payment is received. Individual and student memberships are for one named person. An agency membership covers the number of people shown when you pay, the account holder included; the account holder chooses who holds each place and may change them.
What a membership includes is described on the membership page. The programme of sessions and meet-ups changes through the year, and we may change, replace or withdraw a particular benefit where we need to, keeping the membership as a whole of comparable value.
A Summit pass is not part of membership. Member pricing and member sessions at the Summit are offered on the terms published for each edition.
4. Price and payment
Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay. Card payments are handled by Paystack; we never see or store your card number. Your bank may add its own charges or convert the currency at its own rate.
The founding price is offered to a limited number of first individual members. A founding place is confirmed only when payment is received, and the offer may close without notice. A founding member keeps the founding price for renewals that begin within two years of first joining.
5. Renewal
Your membership does not renew by itself and we do not keep your card to charge it again. We email you before your term ends, and you choose whether to renew. A renewal paid before your term ends starts when that term finishes.
If you do not renew, access continues for a short grace period and then pauses. Your profile and your history are kept so that you can return, unless you ask us to remove them.
6. Refunds and ending a membership
Membership fees are not refundable once a membership has started, except where the law gives you a right to a refund, or as set out here. If you were charged in error, or charged twice, tell us at network@africaprweek.com within 14 days and we will put it right.
You may end your membership at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or end a membership where a member breaks these terms or the code of conduct, or gave false information when applying. If we end a membership for any other reason we refund the unused part of the term.
7. Your conduct, and what you share
You agree to follow the code of conduct. You are responsible for what you post and send in the Network, and you keep the rights in it. You give us permission to show it to other members as part of running the Network.
The member directory is for getting to know and working with other members. It is not to be copied, exported, or used to build mailing lists.
8. Our responsibility to you
We run the Network with care, but we do not promise that it will be free of interruption, and we are not responsible for what members say to or agree with each other. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to the membership fee you paid for the term in which the claim arose.
9. Changes, and the law
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we tell members by email before it applies, and the version in force when you pay is recorded with your payment. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
